Welcome to Istanbul IN (the Istanbul Instructors’ Network). All instructors based in Istanbul, from primary school teachers to university-based educators to individuals working in workplace learning, are welcome here. This group was created to help its members start useful conversations, create connections and develop professional networks.
It is often said that it’s more important who you know than what you know. Although the power of proper qualifications can’t be denied, this also rings true in Istanbul. In Turkey, having a network brings opportunity. Building relationships is key.
Through holding regular meetings, building special interest groups, hosting professional speakers and maintaining a Facebook group page, we hope that we will build a strong and useful network of instructors in Istanbul. This will be a community of practice that will give power and knowledge to its active members.
